Block 37

Block 37, located at the center of South Lake Union, is set to become a vibrant hub with over 300,000 square feet of innovative office space and a diverse mix of retail offerings. Its architecture seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings, evoking the eroded forms of the ancient shoreline while symbolizing the dynamic relationship between water and land.

At the core of my role within the Block 37 team lies problem-solving. Beyond the conventional tasks of drawing production, encompassing aspects like code compliance or generic annotations, I actively engaged in optimizing the building's functionality. For instance, when addressing the various canopies surrounding the perimeter, I collaborated closely with structural and waterproofing consultants to optimize their design and functionality.

Another instance of my involvement was in coordinating the seamless integration of all building components during the production phase. From the bio retention planters and adjacent interior spaces to the curtain wall modular systems and terrace parapet and railings, I collaborated extensively with internal and external teams to ensure cohesion and attention to detail throughout the entirety of the project.
